MODERN SLAVERY and CHILD LABOUR POLICY

 

Our commitment

Qube Renewables Ltd is committed to conducting its business responsibly, ethically and with respect for human rights.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, human trafficking, forced or compulsory labour and child labour within our own operations and, as far as reasonably practicable, within our supply chain.

Qube Renewables is part of the Blue Planet group and operates in accordance with the Group's wider No Child Labour and Modern Slavery Procedure.

Our approach

We are committed to:

  • complying with applicable employment, labour and human rights legislation;

  • ensuring that our recruitment and employment practices are fair and lawful and that all work is undertaken voluntarily;

  • not employing anyone below the applicable legal minimum working age;

  • treating employees and workers fairly and with dignity and respect;

  • considering modern slavery and child labour risks when selecting and working with suppliers, contractors and business partners;

  • expecting our suppliers and contractors to maintain appropriate ethical labour standards within their own organisations and supply chains;

  • taking appropriate action where concerns or non-compliance are identified; and

  • reviewing our approach as our business, supply chain and applicable legal requirements evolve.

Our supply chain

Qube Renewables works with suppliers, contractors and project partners both in the UK and internationally.

We recognise that the risk of modern slavery can vary according to geography, industry, type of work and supply-chain arrangements. Where appropriate, we therefore consider labour and modern slavery risks as part of supplier selection and ongoing supplier management.

We reserve the right to seek further information or assurances from suppliers and contractors where a potential risk is identified and to require corrective action where standards are not being met. Serious or persistent non-compliance may result in the termination of a business relationship.

Raising concerns

Employees, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders are encouraged to raise any concern or suspicion relating to modern slavery, forced labour, human trafficking or child labour connected with Qube Renewables or its supply chain.

Concerns may be raised with a Qube Renewables director or through the appropriate internal reporting or whistleblowing channels. Concerns raised in good faith will be treated seriously and investigated appropriately, without retaliation against the person making the report.

Where an issue is identified, Qube Renewables will take appropriate action, which may include working with the relevant supplier or contractor to address the issue, escalating the matter within the Blue Planet group, notifying relevant authorities where appropriate, or ending the business relationship.

Responsibility and review

The Directors of Qube Renewables are responsible for supporting the implementation of this policy within the business.

This policy is supported by the wider Blue Planet No Child Labour and Modern Slavery Procedure and will be reviewed periodically to ensure that it remains appropriate to Qube Renewables' activities and legal obligations.
